Vicar's Newsletter for 26th July

Dear all,
There's plenty to look at here in the newsletter today.  Please be aware that as some of the churches open there may be teething problems, not everything may go according to plan, so please be patient with those who will be doing their very best to assist us all in keeping safe.
The latest advice that came out from the C.ofE late on Thursday evening was that people attending worship are strongly advised to wear a face covering. As this is (for the time being at least) an advisory, it remains a matter of personal choice, not a legal requirement as in the shops, etc.
Churches opening:
Please note that St. Nicholas Ganton, All Saints Hunmanby and All Saints Muson are holding services this Sunday morning. See details below.
During this time of transition and preparation some form of online worship will continue to be made available on Sundays via the All Saints Hunmanby website.

There are no plans in place at this stage to open St. Peter's church for public worship.

When your parish church opens for worship, we would ask that you kindly follow all the guidance and directions given. This may include not being able to sit in your favourite place due to social distancing of 2m. If you are in the 'at risk' category for Covid 19 or the 'critically at risk' category you are advised to stay at home as much as possible. Please be aware that our services will have a very different feel as the congregation will not be allowed to sing.

OFFERINGS
Some of the benefice churches have understandably experienced a significant reduction in income during the last 4 months. If you have saved up your weekly offerings we would be grateful if you could kindly place these in the receptacle inside the door as you arrive at church. Thank you. There will be no offering taken during the service.

QUESTIONNAIRE
Thank you to those who have kindly returned a completed questionnaire. I have attached it again this week. It would be really helpful if you could please have a go at completing that. Many thanks.

SPRING CAFÉ PLANS
Given the complexities of opening the café for sit-in meals, etc., we are planning to run the Spring Café from 3rd August as a take-away service only. When things return to some kind of new normal, the plan is to open the café again for sit-in drinks and meals. We have no idea when this might be possible. Poster attached below!

NEW WINE SUMMER CONFERENCE ONLINE - excellent and inspiring Christian teaching - and it's FREE!
United Breaks Out runs from this Thursday 30th July to Monday 3rd August. It is a best attempt to create the atmosphere, teaching, worship, children's and youth venues and fellowship of New Wine's United conference but at home. The programme and much more info is available on http://www.new-wine.org/breaksout
Please see the attachments below about New Wine kids and the UBO final teaching and workshop timetable.
