Breath Prayers for the Advent Season
As we did last year, here are some advent breath prayers to encourage all of us to draw nearer to God in this season.
This week’s Advent Breath Prayer – Week 2
Subject: PEACE based on Isaiah 26 verse 3
*** Breathe in: Keep me in perfect peace ***
*** Breathe out: as I keep my thoughts on You ***
Breath prayers are a modern adaptation of the ancient prayer of the heart. Breath prayers fit easily into one breathe - in and out.
This Christmas, take time to slow down and breathe deep and inhale the goodness and glory of God.
Each week of advent there will be a different breath prayer for you to use.
Advent invites us to slow down and to believe that there's more to Christmas than just the loud noise of the season, more than the hustle and bustle of the crowds, more than the pressure to produce and perform and perfect.
For more information on breath prayers, please see the notices for 1st December (last week's email).
