Vicar's Newsletter 19 & 26 March

Dear all,

This newsletter covers Sundays 19th and 26th March due to my annual leave starting on Sunday afternoon. A reminder that on Sunday 26th March the clocks go forward one hour. The next newsletter will be sent out around Thursday 30th March. The services for April are also included below.

Please note that because Easter Day is on the second Sunday of the month, some patterns of services are altered for April.

MY ANNUAL LEAVE

Please note that I am away on annual leave from Sunday 19th March afternoon to Sunday 26th March inclusive. Churchwarden, Jane Cheesbrough, will be fielding calls. For any urgent matters, Jane's number is 07956 973821 and this number will be on my voicemail message as well.

THE NEXT MEN'S BREAKFAST - is 8.30am on SATURDAY 1st APRIL - IN THE SPRING CAFE, 4 STONEGATE, HUNMANBY

3 Talking Jesus: As part of our Deanery commitment to enable and equip people to lead locally, there is a training day led by Revd Jake Madin on Saturday 22^nd April. The Talking Jesus Course equips people to share their faith in a natural way. The invitation is for you to attend this training day in order to lead the course locally and equip others! Do have a chat with me if you are interested please.

COFFEE MORNING IN AID OF THE LEPROSY MISSION

Saturday 18th March from 10.00am - 12noon in the Spring Cafe

CHURCH OPEN ON SATURDAY MORNINGS IN MARCH

The church is open for visits and private prayer on the Saturdays in March from 10.00am to 12 noon. Many thanks to those who have kindly agreed to church-sit.

LEPROSY MISSION USED STAMP DONATIONS

The last time you can donate used stamps for The Leprosy Mission is by the end of March please. NB The new bar-coded stamps are not collectable.

SINGING GROUP

Every SECOND and FOURTH Tuesday of the month 10.30am till 12 noon. You are welcome to join us to exercise your vocal cords, socialise and enjoy coffee and cake ( as well as keep warm!).

SATURDAY PRAYERS

Next prayers in church on 18th and 25th March 9.30am - 10.00am.

WELCOME SPACES:

The cafe is one of many places across the borough offering a warm and welcome space. This new initiative ensures that over the coming winter months you will always have the option to come and enjoy friendship in a warm environment where a hot drink is available and should you need it, plus information about coping in these challenging times. HUN-FREE COMMUNITY FRIDGE: (Please note - each session will close when all the food has gone)

HunFree the Hunmanby Community Fridge will operate on Monday morning from 9.30am and Friday afternoon from 1.45pm when tea/coffee will be available.
