Vicar's Newsletter 28 February

Dear all,

Please take a look below at the details of the online roadshow with Archbishop Stephen about the consultation for the new vision for the Diocese of York - 'Living Christ's Story'. The only session left is on Tuesday 2nd at 7.00pm. Please see the Consultation prayer below. Also, details of the World Day of Prayer service at All Saints Hunmanby next Friday 5th March at 2.30pm can be found below.
This Sunday 28th February there's a service of Mattins at St. Nicholas' Ganton at 10am and at All Saints Hunmanby an 11.00am service of Morning Worship.   Adherence to the strictly applied Covid-safe rules will be required by all who attend including wearing of mask, gelling hands on entry and exit, staying 2m apart and not mingling or chatting on entry or exit, but dispersing promptly.

WEBSITE MAKE-OVER CONTINUES
When you click on the All Saints Hunmanby website link you will notice that the website looks a little different again! It's a work in progress. Do let us know what you think.

Please note that the online service this Sunday will be available in one file (not 3 separate files as previously).
Please see new instructions below. This is a test to see if it has sufficient sound quality in one file. If you have any comments about this test please to let me know. Thank you.

Please do get in touch with me if you have any questions or just to have a chat.

In the meantime here is an opportunity (for all church members!) to hear directly from Archbishop Stephen and other members of the Diocesan Leadership Team about our journey so far, what we mean by “Living Christ’s Story”, and the consultations that will take place over the coming year.

LIVING CHRIST’S STORY – CONSULTATION PRAYER

Bishop Alison and Archdeacon Andy Broom write: 'Prayer will be vital to ensure that through listening to one another we discover God’s mind in all our deliberations and are kept in his will. Here is the prayer for the consultation.'

God our loving Father, you have called your Church into being in your love and strengthened us for your service. Guide and inspire us as we seek to re-shape our approach to mission and ministry in our diocese; that we may be a joyful Church of missionary disciples, one in heart and mind; for the sake of your kingdom, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
