Vicar's Newsletter for 30 January

Dear all,

This weekend Sunday 30th January (a 5th Sunday) there is a Holy Communion service for the Hertford Benefice at All Saints Hunmanby at 11am. All are welcome. February's worship times can be found below.

The Plan B measures were removed on Thursday 27th January which means that face coverings are no longer mandatory in places of worship. I would still encourage the wearing of face coverings, though this is now a matter of personal choice. The CofE has supplied new guidance for parishes. I attach here a paragraph from the guidance that simply highlights the need to be considerate of others.
'Everyone has a different set of criteria by which they judge whether they feel safe in different situations. For many people, the relaxation of restrictions is a source of significant anxiety. This could include members of clergy, lay leaders, PCC members, members of congregations and of our wider communities, and care should be taken not to make assumptions about how someone else is feeling about the current situation.'
Here is a link to the full 12-page document if you would like to read it:

NB At All Saints Hunmanby the zone on the south aisle has alternate pews for those who wish to have more space.

MORE TEA ROTA VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

If we are to continue with serving refreshments at the end of services we do need more volunteers. It's not fair to rely on the same few folk all the time. If you can help, please put your name on the rota, which is on the notice board at the back of church. Thank you.

COOP FUNDING FOR SPRING CAFE

Spring Cafe has been chosen for the next round of the Co-op Local Community Fund.

The funding round will start Sunday 24 October 2021 and will run for 12 months until 22 October 2022. During this time, if you are a Co-op Member do please select Spring Cafe as your cause. Here is the link to choose the cafe as your chosen venture to support:

Thinking of volunteering?

The Spring Cafe is looking for new volunteers so that we operate longer hours / more sessions. We appreciate you may not be able to volunteer, but may know someone who could. So please pass on the word and encourage them to come along to the cafe to find out more by speaking to a volunteer in the Spring Cafe.
