Psalm 111

Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart
as I meet with His godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in Him should ponder them. Everything He does reveals His glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember His wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our Lord! He gives food to those who fear Him; He always remembers His covenant. He has shown His great power to His people by giving them the lands of other nations. All He does is just and good, and all His commandments are trustworthy. They are forever true, to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity. He has paid a full ransom for His people.
He has guaranteed His covenant with them forever. What a holy, awe-inspiring name He has! Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey His commandments will grow in wisdom.

Praise Him forever!   NLT

BENEFICE NEWS

  This Sunday:

 · Children in Distress Annual appeal – Shoeboxes!

Today – Sunday 12^th October is the last day to drop off your shoebox for this year! Please make sure it is at All Saints Church, Hunmanby, by the end of the Sunday evening service!

 · The October Bring & Share lunch

Today is our October Bring & Share lunch. It is straight after the morning service in the Hunmanby Church Hall. Everyone across the Benefice is very welcome.

Next week:

Friends of God’s Acre Coffee morning

From 10 am to midday, next Saturday 18^th October in Hunmanby Community Centre with stalls of cakes, books, jigsaws, & various craft stalls. Admission is £2, which includes tea/coffee & biscuits. Donations for the stalls welcome, if you need to arrange for items to be collected, please phone 01723 891513. This event is to raise funds for the maintenance and ongoing upkeep of God’s Acre cemetery in Hunmanby.

Happy Little Lambs – for under 5s

Tuesday 21^st October at the slightly later time of 9.30 am in Hunmanby Church Hall.
